Description
Single cask Auchentoshan single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Wemyss malts. As with their other releases, this single malt (which matured in a barrel from 1998 until 2013) features an evocative name based on its flavour profile and therefore has been dubbed Lemon Zest. 342 bottles were produced.
Bottled at 46% abv.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Gold
Nose: Plenty of lemony citrus, mostly lemon zest (ha!) and lemon drops, but a few apples sneak in and precede a lovely maltiness
Palate: Candied citrus and beautiful honey. Sweet, thick, and full of rich flavor. Fudge and ice cream parlor, topped with orange slice.
Finish: Spicy ginger and pepper. More honey and some apples and berries. Everything wraps up nicely with more citrus and vanilla swirl.
