Description
The Macallan Gran Reserva was released as a 15 year old for the first time at the end of 2017. It has been created with care from specially selected casks in the Macallan warehouses by the Master Whisky Maker and matured predominantly using 1st Fill European oak sherry casks before bottling.
Such was the anticipated demand for this expression, that The Macallan decided the fairest way to allocate the very limited supply of only 1,500 bottles, was using a ballot system, with applications strictly limited to one per customer.
The very limited number of only 1,500 bottles makes this rarer than both the much in-demand Coronation and Diamond Jubilee releases and, if you were not one of the people to win one at the ballot, you now have the opportunity to join the lucky few.
