The Macallan has been pushing the boundaries of excellence since it was established in 1824 and we never settle in our desire to go beyond the ordinary. Inspired by the River Spey , from where we source the water integral to our whisky making process, we have embarked on a journey in celebration of famous water areas of the world. Our travels have taken us to the Vermilion Lakes, located within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. A combined area of 48 square kilometers, the Vermilion Lakes provide the perfect environment to nurture and protect small mammals such as beavers and elks as well as a variety of birds including bald eagles, osprey, and herons.

Colour: Golden oak

Nose: Sweet ginger with toasted oak, vanilla, and butterscotch with an underlying orange warmth.

Palate:Sweet with notes of raisin, caramel, toasted oak, and sweet citrus.

Finish: Medium dry with lingering sweet oak.
