Description

The Macallan 1834 series has been created to showcase the beautiful range of natural colour found in Macallan whiskies, each expression becoming increasingly darker and more complex. Bob Dalgarno, Macallan whisky maker, has hand picked, individual 100% sherry oak casks to deliver the rich colour that distinguishes this expression.

Bottled at 40% abv.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Amber

Nose: Polite, almost apologetic with a floral, citrus sweet note that gains presence, commanding a chorus of sweet vanilla over freshly harvest grain. Raisin, sultana, and cinnamon look on as toffee apples and candy floss step into the limelight.

Palate: Fresh green apples and lemons mingle with cinnamon. Ginger hovers as fruit takes over, with subtle oak lingering in the wings.

Finish: Light to medium, with soft fruits and slightly dry cereal.
