A very rare and excellent example of a 25 year old Speyside single malt distilled at the legendary Macallan distillery in 1968 and bottled in 1994 for the prestigious Anniversary Malt range for the UK market.

Matured exclusively in specially selected sherry wood casks, from Jerez, Spain, for over 25 years this example comes complete with an excellent original wooden presentation case.

Very highly collectable.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Mahogany

Nose: Lovely sherry that brings forth juicy plums, prunes, and sultanas. Toffee and butterscotch sneak in and out. There are chocolate covered raisins and slight dustiness in the background.

Palate: Cinnamon and toffee intermingled with cedar forest. This is followed by Christmas cake, mint, and espresso martini. Candied orange and orange chestnuts come in at the end.

Finish: Medium long with toasty dryness of white pepper and nutmeg.
