This 1983 vintage single malt was, matured exclusively in sherry casks for 18 years and was bottled in 2000. These released have acquired many fans over the years, and are becoming increasingly hard to find.
Bottled at 43% abv.
Colour: Old oak
Nose: Breakfast. The kind that’s full of freshly-toasted bread rolls, sweet strawberry jam, fried eggs, and crispy bacon, and freshly brewed coffee.
Palate: Fruit jams on vanilla cakes lead the way followed by brandy and a bit of mocha. Subtle spices and a bit of leather round the whole thing off nicely.
Finish: Lovely sherry with some rich chocolate.
