Description
Rare UK First Edition
The Macallan 18 year old Speyside single malt distilled in 1967 and laid down at The Macallan distillery, was exclusively matured in Sherry Oak casks from Jerez, Spain for at least 18 years, before being bottled for the UK market in 1986.
This magnificent and very highly collectable vintage 18 year old Macallan comes complete with original box, as purchased in the late 1980’s. All are still in very good condition after several decades.
The Macallan very early vintage 18 year olds are becoming harder and harder to source, and this 1967 distillation is certainly firmly in the wish list of any serious whisky collector.
Note:
This Macallan 1967, 18 year old is the First Issue to be packaged in the Iconic box with the diagonal blue stripe.
It was subsequently replaced in the early 1980’s by a tube & then the blue box packaging.
Bottled at 43% abv.
