Distilled at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, this release was bottled by independent bottler, Whisky Baron. Distilled in 1997, this expression has spent over two decades in a fresh sherry producing just 553 bottles.

Natural colour and non chill filtered


Tasting Notes

Colour: Old oak

Nose: Rich, venerable, and expressive. Waxed leather jackets and aromatic cigar smoke is enveloped in chocolate and vanilla sponge cake. Morello cherries and intensely reduced red berries are joined by cashews and furniture oils alongside barbequed burnt ends and cured meats.

Palate: Opening with a bold and delectable combination of jammy berries, bitter orange peels, and sour cherries. A wave of delicious salted toffee, sultanas, and dark chocolate ganache follows, livened by chilli pepper and tamarind paste. Running throughout are flavours synonymous with Campbeltown peat – oily rags, industrial smoke, and mentholated oak.

Finish: A deep concentrated amalgamation of sweet and sour cherries and orange zest, steeped black teas and unctuous dark chocolate.
