An increasingly rare bottling this Port Ellen 25 year old Provenance 1983 has been matured in a single Sherry Butt.
Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the closed Distillery of Port Ellen.
Bottled by Douglas McGibbon & Co Ltd. (Douglas Laing) under the Provenance range of whiskies.

Port Ellen 25 year old Provenance 1983 Tasting Notes : –
The nose opens with a clean maritime style plus spices and honey carrying a bandaged and medicinal quality.
Initially salty on the palate runs to interestingly dry bonfire ashes.
The finish is long reminiscent of “Arbroath Smokies” with soft chewed leather, tar and creosote lingering on.
