Description
The first batch of the Laphroaig Cask Strength 10 Year Old, released in 2009.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Gold
Nose: Lots of peat punches you right in the face. Then it pulls back to blackened chicken and leather polish. Honey, smoked bacon, black pepper, and tobacco round it out.
Palate: Honeyed malt. Smoked fish and dry grasses lead the charge, but they’re overtaken by sweet fruits and toasted garlic.
Finish: Sweet and salty but still plenty of peat to satiate the senses. A long finish that leaves your mouth coated in delicious oils.
