Description
Bottled to celebrate Feis Ile 2017, a stunning single malt Scotch whisky from Lagavulin distillery, aged for 16 years and double matured in Moscatel oak casks. This is bottle number 3608.
Bottled at 56.1% abv
Tasting Notes
Colour: Golden amber
Nose: Mild overall with fleeting notes of candied chestnut and oily minerals. Smoky saltwater.
Palate: Sweet piquant with waves of smoke, salt, and mesquite pepper spices. Very oily. A little water smooths out the alcohol heat but doesn’t diminish the wonderful smoke.
Finish: Long and maintaining of its piquant, pepper-spice warmth. There is a slight lingering taste of smoked nuts after all is done.
