Description
With the “Autumn 2009 Release” the 2nd edition of a Kilchoman whisky was released on November 30, 2009. Until the beginning of 2011, new editions would follow every quarter in the future. This time it was a whisky that was first matured for 3 years in fresh ex-Bourbon barrels and then finished for two and a half months in Oloroso Sherry Butts.
Bottled at 46% abv.
Natural Colour and Non Chill Filtered
Tasting Notes
Colour: Rich medium straw
Nose: Strong peat, wood smoke, and medicinal flavours. Rich dark fruits and orange.
Palate: Remarkably viscous, peat smoke with dark fruits, hints of marmalade and creamy toffee.
Finish: Long. Eventually the peat recovers, leaving clean, lingering goodness.
