Description
Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 and is the first distillery to be built on Islay for over 120 years. It is a farm distillery and a proportion of the barley used in production is grown and malted at the distillery.
This release has been matured for over three years in in ruby port casks.
Bottled at 55% abv.
Natural colour and non chill filtered
Tasting Notes
Colour: Mahogany with a touch of ruby
Nose: Powerful, lemon and citrus notes
Palate: Smoke right away, sweet with a nutty milk chocolate character
Finish: A heavy texture which drifts away to dry smoke with oakiness
