House of MacDuff Golden Cask CRAIGELLACHIE 13yo 54.6% abv

This 13 year old single malt from the Craigellachie Distillery was aged in just one bourbon cask, which was laid down in August 2006 and eventually cracked open in February 2020. It was then bottled up by House of Macduff as part of the Golden Cask series, with only 189 bottles produced.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Straw

Nose: Rye bread with farmhouse butter, chocolate digestives, a touch of flint.

Palate: Orchard fruits, mostly apples and oranges, with a touch of black pepper.

Finish: Subtly smoky with more chocolate biscuits.
