Scotland’s most northerly distillery, its origins date from the late 18 th when it was an illicit still. The original owner was allegedly assisted in evading the exciseman by a church elder who hid the contraband under the church pulpit.

Highland park does not take its name from the Highland region of Scotland but rather from the rise of hills above Kirkwall that were known as High Park. Prior to 1876 it was known as the Kirkwall Distillery.

NATURAL CASK STRENGTH 50.1% alc/vol
Un-chill filtered, no artificial colouring

The house style is described as smoky but this is not the case with this expression. Rather heather honey, vanilla, custard and banana.
