Description
The Dalmore 1263 King Alexander III is a single malt whisky from The Dalmore Distillery. It is crafted to honor the act of saving Scotland’s King Alexander III in 1263. The whisky is matured in six specially selected casks housing spirit of perfect maturity, including small batch Bourbon casks, Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks, Madeira casks, Marsala casks, Port pipes, and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques.
The whisky is named after King Alexander III of Scotland, whose life was saved by Colin of Kintail, the first chieftain of Clan Mackenzie, from the fury of a charging stag. The gift of a King, the 12-point Royal Stag proudly adorns each bottle of The Dalmore, encapsulating the distillery’s regal legacy, dating back to 1263.
The whisky has a rich and enticing flavor profile with red berry fruits and hints of passion fruit on the nose, citrus zest, vanilla pod, crème caramel, and crushed almonds on the palate, and cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger on the finish.
