This powerful Speysider, matured in a gentle refill butt gives aromas of dried barley, warm hay and digestive biscuits, after a little time in the glass a dry oloroso fruit note integrating with slight smokiness emerges. The palate is full and fat, following the palate in character with juicy barley sweets, dried fruit and some citrus. Remarkable texture, long live worm tubs. A long finish gives waves of wood spice, charcoal and yet more barley. A rewarding dram with more texture than a van Gogh oil painting.

This is a limited release ‘Curated by Ewan McIlwraith’ as part of a rage of whiskies which have been hand selected by Ewan.  Natural colour, non-chill filtered, natural cask strength and limited release of just 120 bottles.  Bottled by Berry Brothers & Rudd.
