Description
Indie Islay whisky from the excellent Caol Ila distillery, aged in a single cask for 23 years from January 1993 to February 2016. This was bottled by Montgomerie’s for their Rare Select range.
Nose: Oily malt, medicinal peat and lemon tart.
Palate: Salted caramel, seaweed, pineapple. A mineral edge to it.
Finish: White oak, ash and clementine.
